About Us
Jorge and Alissia Alfaro founded IDS in June of 1987 while they were also new parents. Their business began as a small operation in a tiny office with only one car.
IDS outgrew its first location within two years and moved into a bigger office. They opened their first training site in Fairview in 1991. The additional space allowed them to expand beyond automobile licenses and offer truck, bus, and motorcycle licensing packages as well.
In 1995, IDS moved its headquarters to Union City, which is still our home today. A location in Passaic opened in 1998 and eventually moved to Clifton in 2001. From there, IDS expanded into Central New Jersey. The Fords location and Woodbridge training site opened in 2006.
